Educational excellence

Our equine students do so much more than study an academic course. They incorporate balanced theoretical lectures with hands-on, practical sessions in our leading and internationally renowned facilities. Our facilities attract a range of equestrian athletes, from novice to professional - you may well meet some of the stars of the equine world. All of our courses are very practical in nature and include work experience both on-campus and out in the industry, including at top yards and riding centres and in marketing and commercial roles. You'll find everything, from an introduction to horse care and riding right through to a more in-depth knowledge of horse management, business, science and equitation.

International competition centre

Our competition centre plays host to a number of equestrian competitions and events each year. In addition to a busy calendar of national and unaffiliated competitions, highlights include the Hartpury International Festival of Dressage, Showjumping Spectacular, and Hartpury International Horse Trials.

Our major equestrian events are often used as a platform for other international competitions including Olympic, Paralympic, World, and European Championships.

Equine therapy and rider performance centres

Our commercial equine therapy and rider performance centres have helped thousands of horses and owners achieve soundness and success, whatever their goals or chosen discipline. In addition, we've helped riders work on their fitness, alignment, and overall performance.

We have a solid track record in rider performance and equine therapy, having supported riders and horses from Team GB and others in their preparation for Olympic, World and European competitions.
