There’s no time to rest as the Acorns return to Southern League Div One South action against Bishops Cleeve this evening.
The Acorns will be looking for a hasty response following Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Bideford AFC, as we travel to Kayte Lane.

STARTING STRONG
Cleeve have made a very strong start to the campaign having lost just one of their opening five league fixtures.
The Mitres are currently on a run of three straight wins in the league, with their last league defeat coming at the hands of the leaders, Swindon Supermarine.
Paul Collicutt’s side head in to this fixture off the back of an FA Cup exit following their narrow 1-0 defeat to Tadley Calleva.
The Mitres have seen a mixed bag of results at Kayte Lane this season losing three of their opening seven home fixtures, in all competitions.
PREVIOUS MEETINGS
On the Acorns last trip to Cleeve, a second half red card flipped the game on its head seeing the Mitres run out 3-1 winners, despite Riley McGregor’s equalising penalty.
But in the reverse fixture at the 4ED Hartpury Stadium, the Acorns produced a confident performance defeating the Mitres 3-0.
Goals from Noah Coates, Spencer Hamilton and Louis Manning saw the Acorns round of 2025 in style.

Paul Collicutt is enjoying his second spell at Bishops Cleeve after originally taking the helm in 1999 following stints as assistant manager at Forest Green Rovers, Evesham United and Gloucester City.
After leaving Cleeve, Collicutt went back to manage Evesham United before becoming Head of Football Operations at Stratford Town in 2019.
Collicutt made the return to Kayte Lane in 2020 and has since helped the Mitres to promotion from the Hellenic League Premier Division to a now, a play-off fighting Southern League Div One South side.
PLAYER TO WATCH – CHARLIE HOLLIDAY
Coming in as one of Cleeve’s summer signings, Charlie Holliday has started in hot form netting five goals and picking six assists in his first 10 games for the club.
Holliday joined the Mitres from Fairford Town but also has Southern League experience with the likes of Frome Town and Melksham Town.
