The hunt for a third successive Southern League Div One South win is on for the Acorns this evening, as we take on Worcester Raiders at the KMM Energy Stadium.
The Acorns paly out their third home game in a week this evening and will be hoping to build on Saturday’s 3-2 victory over Willand Rovers.

STRONG START ON DEBUT
Raiders have seen a strong start to their debut season at step four winning two and drawing one of their opening five games.
This form sees Raiders occupy 12th in the league, a position behind the Acorns who have risen to 11thfollowing back-to-back wins.
Raiders are level on seven points with the Acorns but arrive in Gloucestershire off the back of a 3-0 defeat to Shaftesbury AFC.
Prior to that, Raiders had secured a valuable point on the road at Falmouth Town before netting four goals, without response, against Slimbridge AFC.
PREVIOUS MEETINGS
The Acorns have met Raiders on three occasions in the past, all during the 2024/25 Hellenic League Premier and Marsh Challenge Cup double winning season.
During the league meetings, Raiders drew first blood picking up a 1-0 win at Hartpury, before the Acorns ran out 3-1 winners in the reverse fixture thanks to goals from Louis Manning and a Ben Baxter brace.
The two sides weren’t done facing off there, as they would meet in the Challenge Cup final playing out a goalless draw before the Acorns secured the trophy on penalties.
IN THE DUGOUT – JORDAN LEWIS
It was news all Raiders supporters wanted to hear during the summer when the club retained the services of manager Jordan Lewis.
After a couple of season narrowly missing out on the Hellenic League play-offs, Lewis managed finally get over the line and earn promotion to step four for the first time in the clubs history.
Lewis lead Raiders to an emphatic 4-1 victory over rivals Droitwich Spa in the play-off final, after finishing fifth in the Hellenic League last season.
PLAYER TO WATCH – SAM KELLY
Sam Kelly will be a familiar name on the Raiders team sheet having joined the club from Hartpury during the summer.
The defender has driven his way through the Hartpury College Junior sides before becoming a vital part of the Universities’ Senior teams leading him into the Hartpury FC side last campaign.
Kelly made 15 appearances for the Acorns last season, surrounded by a loan spell with Tuffley Rovers.
So far this season, Kelly has made five appearances for Raiders, in the league, and has even managed one goal which came during their 4-0 win over Slimbridge.
