Career Overview

I have been lecturing in Animal Welfare since 2007 after finishing my undergraduate degree, and have since completed a Master's Degree and PhD in the subject area. I joined Hartpury in 2021 to oversee the delivery of a new online MSc in Animal Welfare, Policy, and Legislation, which is a particular area I am really passionate about as it's where you can clearly influence positive change for animal welfare. Before I embarked on an academic career, I worked in organisations such as the RSPCA and the Guide Dogs, as well as in the pet trade and with farm livestock, and I enjoy sharing my experiences of the animal industry with students.
