I am a Chartered Physiotherapist with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, graduating in 1998. I have accumulated over 20 years of experience as an ACPAT Veterinary Physiotherapist. My journey has involved not only clinical practice but also teaching, starting with a part-time role at Duchy College in Cornwall, UK, where I taught Applied Rider Performance based on my expertise.
In 2013, I transitioned to a lecturing position in Veterinary Physiotherapy at Hartpury, covering areas such as anatomy, biomechanics, behaviour, and the assessment and treatment of animals. My commitment and contributions led to the role of Programme Manager for the MSc/PgDip Veterinary Physiotherapy course in 2017. Over time, I have advanced from a Senior Lecturer position to the esteemed title of Reader in Veterinary Physiotherapy at Hartpury University.
Alongside my academic responsibilities, I maintain a practical role as an Equine Physiotherapist, managing my own business in the South West of England. This dual perspective allows me to blend theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience, contributing to both the academic and practical aspects of veterinary physiotherapy. Additionally, I am actively engaged in research within Hartpury's academic community, further expanding my involvement in the field.
