After graduating from Hartpury College in 2002 with an HND and BSc (Hons) Equine Science I worked as a Haematology Technician in a Clinical Pathology lab until 2004 when I joined Hartpury College as a lecturer within the Equine Department. In 2007 I completed my MSc in Equine Science and became a Senior Lecturer. I have subsequently completed a PG Certificate in Higher Education and became a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and in 2021 I completed a PhD by Publication with the University of Portsmouth.
Throughout my time at Hartpury, I have undertaken additional roles including overseeing the academic support of international students, coordinating study abroad and exchange opportunities and overseeing the postgraduate provision across the institution. I am also proud to have led the Alltech-Hartpury National Student Conference since 2011 and have seen it go from strength to strength as an opportunity to showcase student research.
