I Joined Hartpury in October 2017, initially in the role of Human Performance Lab Demonstrator, before progressing into my current role as a Lecturer across varying applied sport sciences modules. My teaching specialisms are primarily Physiology and Biomechanics, however I have also delivered across Nutrition, and Strength and Conditioning modules.
Alongside my lecturing role, I also work on the commercial and consultancy side of the HE Sport department, conducting regular physiological and biomechanical performance testing and monitoring to external teams, clubs, and able bodied and para athletes at the elite level, as well as to grass roots and amateur athletes. Additionally, I work closely with our Sports Academy, in particular the medical team, to conduct performance testing and monitoring on our student athletes.
My educational journey includes completing both my Undergraduate, and Masters degrees in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Hertfordshire, and Middlesex University, respectively. I have also completed my Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice via the University of the West of England, and am currently undertaking my British Association of Sport and Exercise Science (BASES) accreditation process.
Prior to Hartpury I worked within the Allied Health Research Unit at the University of Central Lancashire, and, have also undertaken brief spells at both the University of Essex, and Middlesex University in the form of a work placement whilst undertaking my Masters degree.
