I joined Hartpury in 2005 straight after completing an MSc in Sport Psychology with distinction, and a 1st class BSc (Hons) degree in Sport and P.E., at the University of Wales Institute Cardiff (Cardiff Met). Since then, I have gone on to achieve additional postgraduate qualifications in Elite Performance and Management and Leadership, become a Senior Fellow of Advanced HE and was a TEF Subject Specialist panel member in the initial TEF pilot. I was appointed to the post of Head of Department for Sport at Hartpury in 2015 and have played an active role in the evolution and growth of the organisation.
A central theme to all of my work has been understanding high performance, and more specifically the environments that enable people, and organisations, to flourish. Throughout my career, I have engaged in diverse RKE activities that have reflective practices and applied positive psychology at the core. I have used my experiences of both playing and coaching in elite sport performance environments, to enrich my work.
