Sue has worked in the education, learning and skills sector for over 35 years. Prior to becoming a freelance consultant and project manager, Sue worked in various senior management roles at local and national level for the former Learning and Skills Council and was West Midlands Regional Development Manager for the Learning & Skills Improvement Service.
Sue is a qualified and experienced project manager with a background in quality improvement and partnership working. As a trained coach and mentor Sue has successfully worked with numerous individuals and organisations going through organisational change and transition.
Working with the Association of Colleges, Sue established a Quality Improvement & Innovation network cross the West Midlands, working with leadership teams to support quality improvement, the sharing of effective practice and peer-to-peer networking and development.
Until May 2023 Sue worked for the Education and Training Foundation as the Regional Relationship Manager for the South West and Midlands, supporting organisations to prepare for and deliver the new T Level qualifications.
Currently, Sue is a part time Riding Instructor at a local riding stable and also a Riding for the Disabled Group Coach & volunteer.
Sue joined the FE College Board from September 2024.
