Hartpury College students are celebrating today, after recording another impressive year of A-level and BTEC Level 3 results. Students from the Gloucestershire institution achieved higher than the national A-level pass rate, as well as achieving high BTEC grades once more.
With students around the country collecting their A-level, T-Level and BTEC results today, Hartpury College students achieved an overall A-level pass rate of 98.4% continuing the strong performance by A-level students seen over the last six years. This is above the 97.2% national pass rate for 2023. BTEC diploma students, who also now take national exams as part of their course, also built on the success of previous years with a large proportion achieving a Distinction grade profile and an overall 99.4% pass rate.
Claire Whitworth, Deputy Principal at Hartpury College said: “I would like to congratulate all of our students and staff on their hard work, dedication, and focus over the last two years, which is reflected in the fantastic grades they have achieved. These results are even more of an accomplishment when you consider that this cohort of students had their GCSEs impacted by the pandemic. Each and every student should be proud of their achievements. As ever, I’d like to thank the parents and carers who provided invaluable support throughout the year to make these successes a reality.

As with previous years, many students have opted to progress onto a Hartpury University degree in September. Others have been accepted onto degree courses at Nottingham University, the University of Manchester, University College London, and the University of Birmingham to study subjects including Biology, Mathematics, Veterinary Medicine, and Psychology and Language Sciences. Many other students have secured full-time employment.
This year, Hartpury College is celebrating its 75th anniversary and remains a leading choice for students wishing to study A-levels, BTEC diplomas in agriculture, animal, equine, sport, outdoor adventure, and uniformed protective services, as well as Access to HE qualifications. The college recently announced that it will launch its initial T Levels in Land-Based Engineering, Crop Production and Livestock Production in 2024-25.
