Hartpury College proudly claimed the National title at the AoC National Championships this weekend. Showcasing their exceptional talent and teamwork the team delivered outstanding performances, securing victories in all their matches:
- Win v Holy Cross: 30-17
- Win v Loughborough: 48-13
- Win v Wyke: 45-10
- Win v Peter Symonds: 33-19
These impressive results placed Hartpury College at the top of their pool. In the semi-final, they triumphed over Oaklands with a score of 29-19, and in the final, they defeated Exeter 32-19 to clinch the championship.
Holly Duerden, Netball Academy Manager at Hartpury University and Hartpury College said: “The AoC National Championships provided a fantastic opportunity for the team to meet new people, network with other colleges, and support other sports. The girls embraced the fun aspect of the weekend while seamlessly transitioning into competition mode, delivering remarkable results. Each player played a crucial role in contributing to the scorelines and fostering the togetherness and culture that Hartpury College strives for within their academy.”

The talented group now have their sights set on achieving back-to-back ‘quad’ victories, having already won the Premier League with two games to go. They face a challenging Barking Abbey side in the cup final on Thursday 8 May.
In addition to their success at the AoC National Championships, the Hartpury Netball Academy has also recently celebrated winning the U19 National Schools Finals, securing back-to-back championship glory.
Students who are part of the Netball Academy learn from seasoned coaches who hold qualifications and experience at the national and international levels, all while actively participating in the UK Netball Super League (NSL) and National Performance League (NPL). Coaches help students to train and compete while they study. As a current Team Bath Athlete Development Centre and home to players from various NSL franchises and the Welsh Pathway, the Netball Academy is equipped to support both franchise and pathway choices, with guidance provided to optimise netball career success.
