Repayment of student loans
The earliest you’ll start to repay your student loan is on 6 April the year after you finish your course. As a UK student, you don’t start repayments on your student loans until you are earning over £25,000 a year. For example, if you earn £30,000 per year, you will pay back just £37.50 per month.
Your repayments will come straight out of your pay, you’ll see them in your pay slip. If your earnings drop below the threshold, you’ll stop paying.
