Hartpury University ranks 6th in the UK for Teaching Quality, according to The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2025. The institution was also named 14th in the UK for Student Experience and climbed an impressive seven places overall in the UK-wide league table.
The guide is put together following evaluation of everything from student satisfaction with teaching, through to degree completion rates and graduate employment prospects.

Hartpury University has been ranked 8th in the UK (6th in England) and 1st in Gloucestershire for Academic Support, according to the results of the National Student Survey (NSS) 2024. This impressive performance places the institution among the top 5% of 154 UK universities.
The NSS gathers opinions and feedback from students about their time at university. It surveys students on a range of factors related to their academic experience, including the teaching on their course, assessment and feedback, and how well courses are organised. Results are collated from the honest feedback received on the student experience at their institution.
Hartpury also ranks among the top 20% of UK universities and best in Gloucestershire for Organisation and Management and Student Voice, as well as being number one in the county for Teaching and Learning Opportunities, and Assessment and Feedback.
“We feel extremely proud to have been named in the top 5% of UK-wide universities for Academic Support, and it’s great to see that we’re number one in Gloucestershire across a variety of categories, including Academic Support and Teaching. The National Student Survey is extremely important to us as the feedback comes directly from the most important voices in our community, our students. Hartpury University is rated Gold in all three areas of the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) - Overall, Student Experience, and Student Outcomes.
228 universities, colleges, and alternative providers of higher education took part in the TEF; a national scheme run by the Office for Students (OfS) that aims to encourage higher education providers to improve and deliver excellence in the areas that students care about the most: teaching, learning and achieving positive outcomes from their studies.

Hartpury students achieve consistency excellent graduate employability figures. Results released in the latest Graduate Outcomes Survey from HESA revealed that 97% of all 2021/22 Hartpury graduates have progressed into employment, further study or other purposeful activity.
This places Hartpury University in the top 10% of UK universities, equal first in the South West, and best in Gloucestershire for graduate employability.
Graduate Outcomes is the biggest UK annual social survey and is designed to capture the perspectives and current work status of recent graduates. All graduates who completed a course were asked to take part in the survey 15 months after they finish their studies.
