Annie Taplin

Annie studied BA (Hons) Sports Business Management at Hartpury and is now a Partnerships and Marketing Executive at Success by Design and B2B Media Works, whilst also working as a Creative Assistant at Events through a Lens.

“I was in my first year of college at Hartpury when I knew that I wanted to stay for university as well. I loved that I could study whilst also having my horse here with me. The course itself was fantastic, I had such a keen interest in business and such a passion for sport, so being able to contribute the two and do a practical business degree was perfect. The lecturers really cared about you and how well you did, and made it so much easier for you. The course kept me engaged for the whole three years and not one point did I get bored with it.

The marketing module and the sponsorship module, were the core things that sparked my interest in the global sports market and got me to where I am today. That and the help I received from the Hartpury ICE team, helped me build and tailor my CV. I received a graduate role as a Brand Partnership and Marketing Executive at Sporting Group International. I worked within the sponsorship team at SGI and created partnerships between brands and rights holders. I loved my job role and worked with a great team of people.

I have since moved on to become a Partnerships and Marketing Executive at Success by Design and B2B Media Works, whilst also working as a Creative Assistant at Events through a Lens. Being able to take a side hustle of photography and join a company I have admired for years is a dream come true. Working across all three content and athlete management businesses means no two days are the same. My days vary from creating content for brands through to capturing top events."
